Know How To Take Apart Trunk Latch?

I have a 1963 Guilia Spider (bought it in 1975) and am taking it apart for the last re-do. I took the key-latch on the trunk off and dissembled it for re-chroming, but can not figure out how one dissembles the little swinging cover over the key's entrance to the lock cylinder. It looks like some kind of press in pin, but gentle tapping does nothing...anyone have a clue?
Thanks in advance.

If the 63 Giulia has the same as my 58 Giulietta, the swinging cover is held in place with a little pin, I just had a look at the chrome piece, I haven't put it back on the car yet, and as I remembered, there is a litle dril hole that goes through the complete chrome piece, if your lock has the same set up, you should be abl to push it out. Once the cover is removed, you will fnd a second little pin that you should remove before you dop it of for re-chroming. I had to replace the lttle spring to keep the cover in place as well, a watch maker fixed that in two minutes for me. They have the special metal you would need. I guess before putting it back together it is wise to check the quality of that spring.

Regards,

Jelle

Thanks for the quick answer. I was concerned about how much force to push it out. My gentle tapping with a drift did nothing. I will try some more.
