Split Case 5 Speed Into A 750 Spider

So I'm putting a split case 5 speed into a 750 Spider for a customer. I've done this before by cutting the tunnel and grafting one in from a 101 series car. Is there any other way around this? I don't have anymore spare 101 tunnels. Does anyone have or know of a 101 Spider parts car? Thanks.

Are all 5-speeds like this? I was thinking on my car with a split case 4-speed I could swap it out for a 5-speed without cutting anything? Or is that the difference between a tunnel case and a split case?

To change a Tunnel-case car to a split case 5spd. you need to change the rear mounting plate on the motor, change the flywheel, change the clutch link rods and pivot, change the transmission mounting crossmember, change the drive shaft. And you have to cut the shifter hole in the tunnel further back, and then fill the original hole.
If you have a splitcase trans already, the only part that should be changed is the crossmember, the tunnel does not have to be cut.

Or, if you are lucky, your 4 speed rear casing will already have the the recess for the layshaft extension machined into it so you can fit a new bearing (standard SKF) and put the 5th speed cluster into the 4 speed, without changing the cross member. Depends on how much you want to keep it looking original.
