SS engine ?

Hi,
can any one confirm to me if this is a Sprint Speciale engine,
serial #00121-02086, I am trying to tag all my parts, so when
the time comes my kids will know what things are, at this time
it is just junk to them, I believe it may be 1965 SS.
Thanks
Steve

Fusi PDFs are here on the BB: http://www.alfabb.com/bb/forums/alfa...-friendly.html

It shows 00121 as an SS engine range, but Fusi shows the numbers topping out in 1965 with 00121*01400*. So I'm not sure. Is this one of those cases where Fusi's wrong? Giulia Spider Veloce engines are 00118. It's not 00112 by chance?

Matt at giulietta sprints is really into SSes and likely will provide more info here once he sees this thread, or you can look on his site for more SS VIN/engine # info.

It could be a 1600 veloce engine. There were no 00118 engines despite what any book 'says'. All 1600 Giulia Veloces are 00121 engines.

It's 10121 SS or 10118 Spider Veloce, 00121's were mostly SS early on and then mostly Spider Veloce later as you can see from my register. Alfa and your car didn't record what engine number went with what car so it's theoretically correct for either.

You don't have an 00120 by chance do you?

I'll cross my fingers and hope. Maybe something in the 00120*00800 range? I have a very good 00121 to trade.

The 101 Veloces have engines that are 00121... The SS's also have 00121. The Fusi book is incorrect when it comes to listing the SS's as having 00118 engines. Please check the Veloce Register for the SS and 1600 Spider Veloce to ascertain engine numbers. Maybe you can even find the car if came out of ? (click the link in my signature line)
