Sprint VIN help

My Dad's Giulietta Sprint VIN 1493 06446 is titled as a 1959. It is a 750 car and I would have thought that it was a '58. Can someone with the Fusi book verify?

1493*06482* was built 1/3/58, so yours would be right around there somewhere. Go to the Vintage Alfa Registry on google to see some nearby VINs and build dates:
Vintage Alfa Romeo Registry - Google Docs

It was common for cars in the US in the 60s to be titled so while after they were built; some went unsold for months/years.

You can get information on its date of manufacture from Marco Fazio at CentroDocumentazione@alfaromeo.com.

Both d'Amico & Tabucchi and Fusi list 1493 06446 as having been built in 1958.
However, build year, model year and year of first registration are not always the same.

I hear from several sources that Marco is unable to give out info right now due to the Centro relocating. From Milan to Turin? I don't know.

Hi Bob,

Would you mind my adding your Dad's car to the Sprint register? It's the same as the link that Andrew provided earlier. Thanks.

Feel free to add his car to the registry. He has a '57 Spider, too - I will forward that VIN as well.

Hi Bob, please post here once you've obtained further info. on the car: mfg. date, factory color, and location (city or country) first sold. Is this a Veloce or Normale?
