Rear Wing Window Channels
Does anyone have a set of used vertical channels at the front of the rear quarter windows for a Sprint? Anyone have pics of this area for reference? Thanks.

You had better publish a couple of photos of what you have. There is more than one piece. The glass sips into a chromed tube that acts as a hinge.

Thanks. I'm missing whatever was originally there except the pillar-that's why I need pictures myself. (It's the result of letting a careless body shop guy do the dismanteling).

I have an earlier parts car, 58. I don't think it's the same. Anyone know for sure? Again, pictures would help.

It may be the same parts- does anyone know? Here are some pictures divotandtralee was kind enough to send.

Yes, there aren't many Fiat 1100/1200 TV owners in the States are there? Mine's the later type with sedan-sourced steering wheel and instrument cluster. (I'm hijacking my own thread here..) There is also a prominent "Pininfarina" badge on the dash where the optional radio normally sits. I recommend (to all) the new book Stars and Cars of the 50's (not cheap). On page 100 is a picture of Italian actor Roberto Rissi and his Fiat 1100 TV in Nice, France circa 1957.

I've seem some discussion about that "Pininfarina" badge. PININFARINA had nothing to do with the design of these cars! Some have said they had a hand in the redesign of the later interior, ?? I love mine.
ANYWAYS My 58 parts car does still have those window pieces intact, it appears. Can you measure the height of your opening? I do think the later 101 cars varied. Actually I know it must, I also have the outer post pieces from a 101, it measures about an 1/8" longer than the 750 piece. Maybe in a pinch the shorter inner glass fixing pieces could work? Dunno, but I have them.

I'll see if I can scare up the original 101 pieces, but your pieces might be a good interim fix? In any event travel will temporarily suspend my project until after the holidays.
You've probably seen the same sources as I have regarding the origins of the 1100/1200 TV. Most agree that whether or not they had any hand in the design, Pininfarina actually produced the bodies on the later cars, through contract. It reminds me of Bertone agreeing to produce the final version of the Giulietta Sprint even though it was substantially an in-house Alfa design. Another interesting tidbit- in the book I referenced above the caption on the photo identifies the car as an early 1955 or 56 1100/103 TV bodied by Reparto Carorozzerie Speciali Fiat Lingotto.

I too am looking for all the trim for the "B" post on a Sprint...anyone else might be able to assist after Phila3885 has been provided. I have lots of trim, internal and external for a spider if anyone wants to swap.

Here are pics of the exterior and interior B pillar trim. Between the two they form a channel for the glass.

Exterior view. The light isn't the best in my garage and it's 0 degrees outside so I don't really feel like pushing it out in the cold to take a better pic today.
