Gold-Spangled Giulietta
Does anyone have a picture of Julie Reding's Alfa,
I know the actress lost her 750 series alfa in 1961,
I have news paper copy with a photo, but it not very
clear, what the paper reported was.
Julie Reding loses her $5,000 gold-spangeled sports car,
a gift from Alfa Romeo, when the Pasadena garage that
she sent it for repairs goes bankrupt.
Thanks
Steve

the press reports that she would be proud of her $5,000 gold-spangled sports car if she hadn’t lost track of it "which was a gift from an Italian car manufacturer, when she sent it to a garage for repairs. The garage went out of business and the car was moved and the second garage went kaput, too. Juli has finally located her car, but the price has spiraled to the point it has become a court case."

Thanks!

Juli Reding - The Private Life and Times of Juli Reding. Juli Reding Pictures.
also says...
November 61 a municipal court orders the garage to return her jeweled sports car to her. The garage man, Nathaniel Tyson, was holding the car in a dispute over a repair bill.
Married Herbert Hutner, still listed as living in Los Angeles. You don't suppose she still has it...

Now that would be an awesome story! (and the Alfa Owner magazine) I wonder if it is a Veloce? Notice the factory hard top!
Addendum: Herbert Hutner: Herbert and Zsa Zsa were married on November 5, 1962 in New York. She said it was love at first sight. They were married three weeks after they met.
Herbert and Zsa Zsa divorced on March 3, 1966 in Juarez, Mexico. The divorce was amicable and due to Herbert's business interests in New York and Zsa Zsa's work being in California. They could not overcome the geographical differences.
