Hello to all,

Here are some recent pictures of my sprint, I went ahead and did a repaint continuing with the restoration to make it a nice daily driver, it was mostly a homemade paint job I did lots of sanding and a friend help me paint, it was very far from perfect , but still much better than before, I went with with a base only color ( no clear ), Imron type of paint, didnt want the extra gloss of the clear , thinking that originaly they were more like this, still trim to put on

Hi to all,
continuing with work on my sprint (now that I,am a week from work), after a blow by vapor from the vent hose that didnt go away, lower compression on #2, and also a small knock by a piston pin I decided to take a shot at replacing the pistons/rings,after 3 days of hard work its running again now better, I also shaved the head .012, work on the valves, did the work with the engine on the car, here are some pictures when I was in the middle of it.

Engine overhauls on the pavement...........the joys of my student days !!

Well done on the paintwork Daniel, she looks really nice :-)

Don't forget to re-torque the head after the first 100 miles or so.

Ciao
Greig

Looking good, Daniel.
I like your paint selection. I also went with a single stage paint to get that old-style urethane look and avoid that over-restored look.

Hi Greig and Phil, thanks for your comments, I was washing it today getting all oil spots and dirt after the engine work and in the sun the color it really looks rich and doesnt show much imperfection, but not a professional job under cloud light you can see some ondulations in the paint work, maybe some polish work or more work could make that better, for now I am happy that it looks better and now the engine its better also, but as usual more work to do,

Daniel
