Giulietta 2.0 Turbodelta...

"This Giulietta had 40 hp more by the help of an Alfa Romeo Avio turbo charger beside the standard 2-litres engine with two carburettors. Additional, there was an oil radiator, vented brake discs and a stronger road train with alloy wheels. The seats have been covered with a combination of red textile and skai and instead of the central air intake, there was a turbo charge instrument.
This sports machine with 210 km/h should replace the GTV 6 in the touring car's challenge, but because the Alfa 75 was short before launch, it was not more homologated.
Only 361 units of this 170-hp-sports-car, that was only available in metallized black with a red stripe, have been sold, mostly in private hands."

Simply astonishing IMO. Ive done a small research when I was in Italy and I found 2 cars fuly restored.. Lucky owners...

Yes, it seems to be a great car, but the thread should be posted in alfetta & GTV6 section, not Giulietta & Giulia. This is for 750/101 series cars.

Tiger0529 you r right, didnt notice that the Giulietta section is up to 1965 models... Greg as you can see only 361 were made so you can imagine that it was hard even for Europeans to buy it before it was "sold out"...

I have heard several different production numbers om this beast.
I have seen one of them, all original and not restored. Fantastic monster.

You forgot to write about them having dual brake calipers up front, that is TWO calipers PER WHEEL.

Yeah, thats another shortcoming!...Too stingy to try a 4-pot on for size, but rich enough to work on producing a weird upright (used on the race gtv6)! I know,...13" wheel -no space! (or was it 14" for this version?)
An unknown number of these cars nearing the end of production, were equipped NOT with the special Dellorto carbs, but with a Marelli EFI system! Those are really rare and (of course) no factory data is available to my knowledge on this "variant"-the term AR used, referring to such differences. Power figures though are the same at 175hp.
