Ar1493e23914 ??
Hi guys
I've already asked Greig (AifistiSA) to look this up for me, but until Greig gets a chance to get back to me, if anyone can help me (it's fairly urgent) that would be great.
Can anyone tell me provide anymore info for this chassis number?
We think it's a 1960 Giulietta Sprint
AR0010901432 is the engine number but we think that comes from a TI.
Thanks

Have you contacted Elvira Roucco at the Alfa Archives? She might be able to help BUT it also takes her some time.........
Good luck,

Greig has got back to me and gave me the necessary info (Thanks Greig)
For interest's sake...
Engine # AR0010901432 - a late '62 or early '63 TI motor
Engine # AR1493E23914 - '60, which is consistent with the later 101 nose, it's what is called an Interim car, carries a 750 chassis number, but is designated as a 101. The interim cars were built between 'April '58 & December '60

Pleasure
Must mention that the car is also a Veloce & from the pictures Shaun has sent me, is a very nice one.
Cheers

Hi everyone
My dad and I are now the proud owners of the car referred to above. Unfortunately the original motor is no longer in the car, but it's still a special car that I think is going to be loads of fun (and hopefully my dad and I aren't in over our heads). The car is pretty complete otherwise (I was also given the proper rear bumper or at least what I think is the proper rear bumper). No sigificant visible rust, but paint is bubbling in a number of places (hopefully when we get the paint off it won't look too bad) We are going to give this one the full treatment! I'm not the "concours car" sort of person but hopefully when we're done the car will look and drive like it ought to.
Greig, thanks again for all the info.
If anyone can briefly explain how I can make the picture files smaller, I'll post some of them.

If I remember to do so tonight, I'll try to post an engine range that should be close enough.
My '59 Spider Veloce came with the wrong motor, too. But I was REALLY lucky in finding a motor that is within about 20 Veloce's of mine.
Cool find!

Can anyone post some pics of a Veloce motor and engine bay? I've been told they had a ram tube type induction system and want to see what it looks like.
Thanks

OK - I figured out how to resize Jpegs as the pics I had were huge!

Paint looks thick (hiding something?) ... but I'd buy it for the right price, what a gem .
EDIT: Just read more of the thread ... and you have bought it, great awesome car to own. Hope the restoration/tidy up turns out good and fun in the process.
Pete
