The new Motor Trend just tested the 2.0 4cyl Giulia, they love it. 0-60 in 5.1 sec, Qtr mile in 13.6 seconds. They loved the sound of the motor and the handling. They said the Sport pkg is a must. Very very fast for a small 4cyl engine...Impressive!

As I understood they tested a car with 1250$ Sport Appearance Package, which adds nothing to handling (except 225/45R18 tires).

Better choice for Giulia Base is 600$ Sport Interior Package (with Paddle Shifters and Sport Steering Wheel) + 500$ 18 inch tires.

I would take Giulia TI with 1200$ TI Performance Package (active suspension, LSD Diff, Paddle Shifters)

Which is why I special order a Giulia Ti. Still waiting, it's being painted last I heard.

This past Saturday I had the chance to not only see the new Giulia on a showroom floor but test drive one!
I have not driven a "new" Alfa in over 40 years and it was quite an experience!
Is it all I expected? Yes and more!
Is it a drivers car? Yes, even with the paddles.
Does it feel like an Alfa Romeo? That's subjective but being it's almost 1,000 lbs. heavier than my Spider, I still would have to say Yes.
Is it over priced? With a base of $42,000 I don't thinks so, because even in that trim its so much more than a BMW, Audi, Volvo, Mercedes or any American car in its price range.
Do you need 505 Hp instead of 275? Nope, the 2L is just fine!

Was I a Happy Camper? Like a kid in a toy store!!!!
Vsix, DanB, Racer Z and 1 others like this.

Get out there and DRIVE !
