The TS head is not allowed in a GTAm replica. You must use the homologated head.

What kind of pistons can be used to raise the engine capacity to +-2100cm3?

One obvious solution is to use the 155 2l TS engine crankshaft the has a bigger stroke e raises the engine capacity to 1995cm3 with 84mm pistons.

Alfaholics sell 85mm pistons that raise the capacity to 2041cm3 combined with the 155 crankshaft.

Is there a bigger piston available in the market?

It's a great engine that I would love to have. But money is short so I guess I will have to make do with a stock capacity engine with mild cams so there won't be valve/piston interference...

Thanks for the help!

Hi there, I thought I will shear my knowledge with ts 2.0l motors.
I have installed one in my 1972 Giulia Super with pistons cams, intake for carbs and header from Alfaholics.
The head is improved, but uses 44/38 (intake/exhaust) valves.
We use 45 Webbers and a HPV1 Direct ignition system. The comp. ratio is 11,8:1 and drive the car on and off track easily with great performance and results.
In the dyno the engine showed 195Hp at 6.750rps with 22,3kilos torque.
The car weighs 1030kilos has 10:43 LSD and it is super in everyday traffic as well as on the track (videos below).
Definitely the best engine for 105 series car to have fun on and off track but definitely not FIA for GTAm replicas even though the cylinder head is 95% similar to the father (GTAm).

RSR drives a GTAM in hillclimbs and rallies here in Greece often kicking the **** out of a Ford Gt40 , you could say he's Greece's Alfa Romeo hero. That day towards the end the Super had some engine problems running erratically etc , they disconnected the fuel pressure-filter and run like that but didn't fix the problem the engine seemed to be misfiring , i'm actually very curious of what happened (i was thinking of a bad ground or connection) hence the Greek above asking what was wrong.

The above video is from the Alfisti track day in Serres in 2008.
The misfire took place in Megara track, last month when a loose wire in the Alternator created the lack of the appropriate charging for the Electronic Ignition to work properly under 'pressure'. The point is that generally speaking the car with the TS modification is problems free.
Thanks for your nice comments GTV-GR, I am glud you like the video of my car guys.

This is a foto of my race car.

There are more videosyou might enjoy in youtube, if you search for ''rokkos alfa romeo''

Information?

Hi there RSR,

That motor 'you run' sounds so smooth and powerful. What secrets are you willing to share with us? Compression? Power? Torque? RPM? Engine internals? Balancing? 'Trick parts'?

I would not want to compromise your competitive position but any information would be welcome.

You probably refer to the GTAm replica, because the Giulia Super is an everyday car(details of the motor above..) I will answer, but we have to apologise because this is well off the subject...
The engine for the race car was a typical Nord 2000cc motor with 84,8 pistons(1998cc for FIA class), compression 12,3:1 and 47,25 intake valves 41 exhaust.
The cams were Kent (special racing profile) asymmetric (intake vs exhaust), long headers, free side pipe. The car has a colotti straight teeth transition with closer gears as you go up to 5th (1:1). The car's weight was about 860kilos, 195hp at 7250rps and 22,3 kilos torque. The engine performed after 5000rps up to 7800rps. The LSD has 9:41 gears.
In that video below when the yellow Porsche cought in front of me and I had to brake you will notice the rattling at 5000rps before I downshifted.

Ps: In the picture above (present time) the car has a GTAm motor about 240hp @ 8300rps.
