In another thread late 1300 GTA and their interrior were discussed. Max Banks mentioned that he has not seen a higher one than 776 131 and i throw him with my 776 159 registered in Mai 1977. But i honestly have to tell i havent either seen or know of a higher 1300 GTA chassis #. Would be interesting to know which other late 1300 GTA still exist, or wich one is the youngest one when it comes to "first registration" date. Attached some pictures of mine, we are going to make a nice racecar out of it, it has a very very good body but was once converted to hanging pedals (bastards!) We will change that again. Max seems also right with a lot of late chasis numbers were delivered in Germany. I told already that i rebuild 776 134 (went to japan) but i also have 776059 (funny 059 & 159 -from 105.59). That one was delivered from Alfa Hähn in Mannheim, then went to Austria and became state champion with a injekted ingine (Karl Wendlinger oned it once) and then went to Sweden were i bought it. Nice history but a lot of work to do.
Before you ask why the GTA is in "Jail": This is a historic racing Transporter, a 1976 Setra Furniture delivery van that was converted in 1977 to a racecar Transporter and carried the famous 911 and URD cars from Kannacher racing in Krefeld. I intend to come to the 2010 Oldtimer Grand Prix (100 years Alfa Romeo) wit 3 or 4 GTA in it and maybe with the only Group 5 Alfetta (1,4 L 16valve Turbo) that raced in the DRM (Deutsche Rennsport Meisterschaft). That car raced against the Ford Capris and the BMW 320, but with poor succsess. I will change that, but thats another story.
no, the doors you got from me were doors i bought with other GTA parts. I still have the correct ones for 776 159 because i dont want to get fitting problems once the car ist ready to be assembled.
Meanwhile i remember a customer of mine owning one of the two topcon 1300 GTA´s. If he has the later one its 776 166 wich would be ahead now.
Come on guys, i like to know if my one is the one with the latest registration date.
