What about a 33 V8 to complete the picture?

Just wondered if you knew how it was progressing?

The GTAm should be allowed through the same loophole that let the BDA escorts into TCM AND group Nc .
I'd be over the moon if I could build my 2000GTV into a GTAm replica with a twinspark 2.0, alloy/glass panels, big guards and 13x9 wheels

TCM will mandate 13x8s... but yeah, Twinspark, arches, glass panels and say 800kg? If it turned out to be something sensible like that I'd sell the XY in a flash and build a GTAm up. Except they don't seem to run the TCMs in QLD
I find it odd that the TCM rules list Datto 1600 with 2l motors in a class below the escorts down with the minis...

That's the thing - I reckon there'd be a bunch of people who'd build 'em straight away. How good would that be to have a heap of GTAm replicas out there harassing the Toranas - YEAH!

cool in itself, yeah, like in Holland we race Trofeo, where you can legally race a giulia with a LSD and a 200 hp 2000 engine.
But thats totally different from historic racing.
For FIA historics, a different rule book applies.
Would you want to go historic racing? Then keep it period as it was, or buy a GTA that is period correctly homologated. You are spoiling the sport, like doping in athletics!
Same goes for a guy racing a Torana with say a DTA injection, and professing it to be a 'historic' racer.
Go race in another 'run what ya brung' class.
Like Trofeo, which is what I did, and wich was totally cool! Fake 75 IMSA's, fake GTams, '69 Bertones running carbon bodywork, 155 heads, DTA's etc...
Everybody had and has a lot of fun. But Historic racing it ain't....
