I see so much said about GTAM'S but wondered where they all are now, I would love to buy a good car, eg original with recorded history, even better unrestored like the blue and white one in Allegerita. What about the cars on www.giulianomazzuoli.com, are these all real cars? maybe I should give him a call. I know there are a couple of other cars for sale at the moment but am not 100% sure about them so if anyone knows of one tucked away somewhere let me know.
I tried to compile a list of the GTAm's known to me. Sources are the books of Maurizio Tabucchi called 'Alfa Romeo GTA' and 'Alleggerita' by Tony Adriaensens with additional information from this and other forums and the internet in general. See the attached Word-document! The photograph with courtesy of racehistory.nl.
Anybody who wishes to add, comment and/or complete the list in any other way?
One typing error, the last chassis mentioned in the wordfile should read 1357933 in stead of 1257933.
Ciao, Olaf

Thanks for the listing. When you "say known to me' it could imply that you have viewed each and every one of these GTAm's and authenticated in some way each of them. I suspect that is not what you mean but you may well have verified some of the Chassis and that would be intersting to Know.
I would like to see 2 more columns on the right on your list headered
Known today/last known date
Country Location last known
Other BB members could then add information regarding chassis that they have personal first hand knowledge of.
I have an extensive list of GTAm s/n's, but it is someone elses list and I have never seen a real one, just heard about them.
FWIW
Ken

Hi Ken,
Thanks for the question and the remarks! 'Known' to me means that I know them from the books and from pictures, I haven't seen a lot of them in real life.
The ones I did see are the ex-Toine Hezemans GTAm, that has been in the possession of a Dutch Alfista for a long time and has been mentioned in an article in 'Het Klaverblaadje' on the GTAm by the late Ben Hendriks.
This car needs a rebuild but is in remarkable original condition with the dashboard, interior, suspension in place. And the original engine is with it as well. And a couple of other GTAm and GTA/GTA 1300 junior engines and spares for that matter!
The other one I have seen is the GTAm which was exhibited in 'Het Autotron' a long time ago. A picture is in my possesion, I will post it as soon as I have found it! I think this is the Alfa Romeo museum example.
As for your suggestion, great! Let the members add their knowledge as far as they are able to. Problem for me is that I can't make the present owner of the Toine Hezemans car public because I don't know if he wants that. So I won't do that for now.
Ciao! Olaf

Here is a photograph of the Balduzzi 'replica' in Holland. We didn't have the chance to look at the chassisnumber so I can't check the real identity of this car. I have seen the engine when it was rebuilt and found out with help of this forum that the crankshaft is an Alfetta 1800 one, the engineblock is a 1750 and it contains a monosleeve. I didn't see the head because the rebuild only consisted of the engineblock. It had thrown the number two connecting rod.
Ciao, Olaf

Reason: spelling
*1531039* and *1531210* were listed in "Alleggerita" 1993
*1531231* and *1532265* were listed in "GTA" 1994
"GTA" had *1378479* instead of *1358479*, which must be a typing error
Tabucchi had an update to his GTAm listing in Ruoteclassiche no. 10, December 1996, I do not know much about it, but the number of cars were extended to 22.
The South African Chatz-GTAm is said to have gone to Angola in 1972, but the ex Peixinho GTAm is *1532346* LHD, a "local" RHD shell would never be Tipo 105.51. To my research the Chatz car was his GTA with 1900cc- or GTAm-engine that he sold to De Albuquerque and it was only co driven by Peixinho once. The Peixinho GTAm could be the Portugese's Sa Nogueira one, and later became Melo's car.
The Balduzzi replica for sale by Marcel Roks is *1530037*. I have searched in many race entries from the 1970s, but I never found the name of "Rochat" in a GTAm.
Same for the Coys' *2421455*, no Greek owner raced in Switzerland in the early 1970s to my knowledge.
The Brasilian ex Jolly Club GTAm is *1382607*, not a correct number
An Italian GTAm *1357933* is said to be original Autodelta, but has an AR00548 engine.
GTAm *1534912* was at the 1993 Monterey Auction, said to be "ex Facetti". Not a correct number
Fusi's production numbers starts the American GTV1750 Tipo 105.51 series in 1968 with chassis *1533201* and reaches to *1535675*, built in 1972. None of the known GTAms fit to his listing.
Tabucchi's "GTAm" lists *1530001* to *1531232* and *1532001* to *1532244*, and a total of 2476 produced cars. This would give 1000 cars more than chassis numbers, so there must be a typing error. The date of release ("uscita") do not specify the date of production (as GTV1750), the certificate of origin, or the date when the cars were sent/sold to Autodelta to be prepared to GTAm. *1530782* has the date 19691231, not a good date for production, but a good date for a contract.
Hull-Slater had 20 GTAm for 1970 and 20 for 1971, a total of 40 cars. This is not correct, because the GTAms were born as GTV1750s from 1969 onwards, and only transformed to GTAm later. Most of the cars were indeed transformed in 1970, and only a few in 1971/1972 according to Tabucchi.
It shows that many of the writers had not done deep research for their books.
