Looking for the twin sister, 1969 1750 GTV

I own a 1969 1750 Spider Veloce, European version and I am looking for the identical car in the GTV, of course it would be a dream to find one in it's original grigio chiaro metalizzato with a bordeau interior, but if you never try, you'll never know! I would take a car in any condition, but hope to find something that is an easy restoration. I've posted some pictures of my car to give you a clear picture of what I'm looking for......

Yeah I quite like the idea of owning a set of '71 Alfas too, to go with my GTV, ie. a Spider and a Guilia.

But I would prefer a range of different colours.
Pete
ps: Oh yes lovely spider!!

your spider is stunning!!! Good luck in your search. I think it's a wonderful idea. I myself have a 67 duetto (red) and a 69 euro GTV (now black but originally red and possibly going back to that color).....Now what I would really like to add one day is a 68 giulia

More details on a well done 1750 Spider Veloce

Thanks Peter, naturally that compliment has to be passed on to my "maestro carrozziere" and good friend Giorgio Serreli (Giorgio Serreli) who did this stunning restoration. Check out his web site, he is currently working on a one-off 1938 Lancia Aprilia 2 door Cabriolet Pinin Farina, a rare piece of Art-deco. I included a picture of the car before we started the restoration.
I included a couple of other pictures that I know you will appreciate being the owner of a Duetto. I had a custom luggage set made for the car. It also has a 450watt Nakamichi sound system carefully hidden under the dash and in the rear trunk area.

Lovely restoration, best of luck in finding your GTV. Try the GT forum directly under this one on the Home page, too.

Your compliments will be passed on to Giorgio Serreli!

Paul,
Thanks for the compliment, even I was amazed at the maniacal precision that Giorgio Serreli applied in restoring my spider. Immagine this, all the srcews, nuts and bolts, that were accessable, were substituted in stainless steel, each one rounded-off and hand polished to a chrome-like finish. The icing on the cake was of course was when he aligned all the screws after placing them........the guy is truly unbelievable! All that "bright-work" that you see is all polished stainless steel under the hood and everywhere else. The only thing that was chrome plated was the master brake cylinder.....

That is one nice looking car. Post some more photos after you get to detail the undercarriage.

You are one lucky guy to have one as nice as that. I would probably trade my wife for that car!
And I like my wife and am not really that fond of Spiders

Mad11,
You have found it and very reasonable it appears to be. What the shipping might be is unknown or duty(?) payable, but frankly to get the pair is worth it.

You mean, a bit like this one but with the steering wheel on the opposite side?
