Tail light lens differences on gtv 2000's

I noticed some models came with the amber on the tail light lens and some didn't. My car has the red and white lens. I was just wondering why they were made this way?

Red/Red with white backup lens = USA spec

Red/Amber with white backup lens = Euro Spec

It is worth noting that the reproduction suppliers generally do not make the USA style lenses as the market is just too small.
