I was interested in how much these parts sold for but I missed the end of the auction.
Anyone know what the final prices were for the the heads, distributors and sump pans were?
Cheers

Well, maybe the answers to my questions will surface sooner or later.
Will I be surprised? Maybe not, as I have had dealings with certain Alfa Dealers in England and they have not been honest in my opinion. On 'challenging' them about various anomalies one would be told that 'we run a business' or 'my word is my bond is no longer practiced in England'. Reality?
Would or could an Austrian Alfa dealer be any different?

The "bidding against themselves" is a function of the Ebay system. If you place a bid, and are the high bidder, and then decide to increase your bid to guard your position as high bidder it shows you as having bid against yourself (it doesn't jack the price up though).

Dear all,
Thanks for your tolerance.
That was my first experience bidding on e-bay. Very interesting.
I only recorded the following numbers:320158056263; 320158056659; 320158056230; 320158056019.
Can anybody supply me with the other item numbers so I can see what prices they obtained?

Dear Martinue,
Well I bought an item on this auction (my first experience on ebay) but have only had one e-mail to confirm my address and nothing else in nearly two weeks. I am still waiting for the total owing as shipping cost was not known. I have sent two additional e-mails to the seller but no reply. My friends buy items on e-bay and say they are delivered quickly i.e. a day or two for the UK and a week from Europe.
Is this normal? Any experiences with these sellers would be welcome.

Dear south africa,
I am the seller oft he parts, and I will excuse for the time You have waiting for. I think you should have recived all the needed information now for the next steps.
To get the best and cheapest shipping rates costs me a lot of time, in case that the parts would go "all over the world". (australia, america, UK, Italy, netherlands, south africa etc.)
As an example I can say that for one part which will go to Australia we had a range from 250 to over 500 EUR for the same service (shipping and insurance)from different providers.
best regards from austria

Everything under 109,00 mm should realy be considerd as not very usefull - what do you think? 106,00mm to 107,00mm sounds absolutly crasy, even with custom made pistons. Whats then left from the valve seats?

i´m working on GTA-engines for more than 27 years, and the head height of racing-engines in former days was from 110.8mm to 110.2 mm. More milling makes of course a higher compression-ratio, but you are very right in your opinion concerning the seats. There is not enough material in head casting near to the milled head surface, so the seats became leak by the heat going in the thin surface. Autodelta so milled the engine-block to get more CR,so they did with the liners, corresponding to block-milling.Today the piston dome design is much more effective for flame travel, so beware of milling your good heads.

Dear all,
Do any of the BB members have the information for head height on the GTAm head? I think they should be 130mm but more information would be useful.
