Hi Steve, contact BBer JohnT. He found a outfit in Portland or England that reproduces everything.

stickers

Steve/ all-
Check out this Ebay store (out of England). I got all of mine from them. They should have Marchal (they did last time I looked). They also made some custom stickers for me. Very responsive and got them quickly. I got Marelli, Elf, Champion, Cinzano, Koni & Shell. They specialize in vintage style stickers (in vinyl).

GTAm 4 headlight Grill

Steve,

Very nice job on the race prep and best of success!
Saw this Autodelta prep'd 1973/1974 GTAm and thought the 4 Headlight setup might be a good reference for your beauty.
(GTAM for sale
or directly http://www.mroks.com )

The grill looks very similar to your setup.
At least to the eyes of this ametuer

Joe

Regarding stickers:
1. Goto www.brandsoftheworld.com
2. Search for the namebrand you want using the "logo" feature.
3. Identify the one you want and write it down. (ie Castrol #7)
4. Take it to your local graphics shop and give them the information.
5. The images you have identified are already digitized in a "vector" format that the graphics people need.
6 They can download the image, and print it directly onto your choice of vinyl.

The more images you arrange on each sheet, the less they cost. A sheet will be $10-20, if you get 8 images on that sheet...well, then they're pretty cheap.

According to the people I have spoken with, the issue of copyright infringement is moot, as few of these sponsors even produce the stickers anymore. There are two options for Marchal...the cat and the checkered flag is nice.

I did get STP and Castrol to send me a couple stickers about 4" wide.
And you can find a lot them on ebay. But a good graphics shop should be able to reproduce any of these period images, if they're vectored.

And, you may find some orignal period stickers for sale only on ebay, that are no longer available electronically. You can buy one sticker, have it scanned and then reproduced.

I have been searching for a large vectored image of the the Alfa Serpent as shown in the old Milano style badge. Since I haven't found one yet, it will cost me about $150 to have one digitally mastered to a scale of about 24" x 18" or so. I intend to use this older image because it is just so much cooler than the newer minimalist style serpent which can be had for about $40.

If anyone knows about a really large format Milano snake, I'd like to find it.
I did find some vintage stickers on ebay that did not show up in the vectored list.

PS. I'm sure glad to see someone else is having fun with their car colors and stuff. I'm doing a similar thing, but not specifically typing a particular historic car.

Tek or anyone else needing vector files,

if you send me a digital file (jpg, bmp, pdf...) i can have the artwork vectorized for $40.00. Takes about 24 to 48 hours to get it done.

Feel free to PM.

Also, Tim, if you would not mind sending me your phone number i would very much appreciate talking about your 69 GT 1300 junior.

Best Regards,
Joseph

TEK,
Take a look at http://www.serpentautosport.com/grap...aps_shirts.htm
I can make them in just about any size and color. With the cross or with the font or and combination.
Let me know if I can be of any help.

Hey Charlie. Yes I've seen this snake. I'm looking for one as appears on the Centerlinealfa page:

Oh and BTW, those lugnuts look great on the Mustang wheels. Pix in the Photos thread: 1969 Giallo Junior.

Philly, the issue was about scaling up with vectoring. The guy here thought he would probably have to redigitize the whole image to get it to be a clean line when blown up to 24". I think this is about 300 dpi, and he's need at least 1200 dpi to make a clean large image. And actually, the badge I got from Centerlinealfa was even more detailed. So he was thinking of scanning it instead.
