Can a GTA Oil Pan fit a standard on a standard 2ltr engine?

Just a quick question (and probably quite stupid one)....

Can a GTA oil pan fit onto a standard 2 litre or 1750 engine?

Just wondering as the GTA oil pans look to have a lower height than standard 2ltr/1750 oil pans and might give a bit more ground clearance (if rolling without a sump guard)......

Thanks for any replies

I would like to know as well. The neat magesium ones with three rows has a part number in the old AD Perf. Catalouge and says (ALL). Hmm..

I am not sure if the stock GTA pan was the magnesium three row one in the AD catalouge of 77'?

It will fit the engine no problem. However it will possibly interfere with your track rod - GTA's had a special bent one.

Alfaholics pan is the bottom piece only - it will fit no problem. It's the upper piece with the windage tray that poses a potential problem. For a windage/slosh tray for your upper pan look at this site http://www.paulspruell.com/motorsport/racing/oil.html

cheers Alleggerita - Thanks for the clarification.

That windage tray looks pretty darn good -

Just found this which is pretty much exactly what I was thinking of....

Do already have a sump guard ..... but did have to hammer a massive ding out of it recently (not much clearance... so was looking for a little more)

Doesn't the GTA pan go with a matching deeper oil pump pickup? If that is the case, if you just use a GTA pan without the matching oil pump, your pickup will be higher in the pan, not necessarily a good thing.

There are 2 GTA mag pans. 28mm Standard depth and deep. The deep pan takes the longer pick up. Both use the windage tray and same upper pan.

The GTA pan won't increase your clearance at all, rather the opposite I suspect. I'm not sure of the dimension of the A/H one, but it does look deeper than stock. The deep, original 6 horizontal fin GTA ones are about 35mm closer to the ground than stock!
Vin.
