Based upon what I know, Mike's GTA engine, Peter Giacobbi's race engine originally built by Angelini in Italy and another Giulietta Veloce engine (don't know particulars about this one) were stolen from a "shop" in the Long Beach area, at or about the time when this shop closed.

Peter's engine had unique features that included special lightweight crank and timing gears. It also had a special piston liner & head design, where the liners protruded into machined groves in the cylinder head.

Sorry to hear that-

I had no idea that things ended up so badly with that "shop" after so many years of otherwise good work and above board dealings. It's hard to "turn" that sort of stuff but on the other hand I would'nt hold-out much hope of ever seeing it again. Fred.

No need to worry; the shop is no longer in business.

It is too bad things ended the way they did after a long benchmark history. Well the story we have heard is that circumstances and an escalation of events coupled with a list of characters (that might rival that of Bogart's movie The Maltese Falcon) resulted in this great mess.
