Thanks! The matter has been taken care of my my lawyer. I don't want to say any more than that at this time

As PSk said, trashing good, running 250GTE by removing mechanical parts (and maybe even VIN) to create 250GTO or 250 testa rossa replica is the absolute sin, but what Veep is trying to accomplish is totally different from that. Best of luck to your project, and be sure to keep us posted!!
People who destroy restorable 250 GTEs and turn them into GTO or Testa-Rosa or SWB replicars should be shot, IMO!

I would love to find a really nice 250 GTE, but no one who has them wants to sell them!

My wife (based on my advice) almost sprung for a car that is more than I can afford last week, but it was sold before I could decide! I saw it on last Monday, and it was sold by Wednesday!! Everything we have is in her name

It was a mint condition red with black interior 1966 Ferrari 2-headlight 330 GT 2+2 at $70,000.

GTA button & lock modification.

Any chance of a picture on what you do to the lock to make it work with the new push button fitted?
Thanks
Mel.

Hello this is my first posting overhere, i'm building a replica as well. Its gona be a GTa Junior in white/green (the small version). For the locks i was wandering if anyone has tryed the use of the Giulia Locks they operate pressing in as well as de gta knobs. De bertone has operating down versions. So maybe thats a try. If it works i will post a photo here.

Hi Veep & Barend (Juultje!)

Same here guys!
I have two weeks off next week, exclusively for working on my GTA Rep/Racer .... Finish the bodywork, doors are finished grill mesh purchased, 7 j GTA mag wheels, interior, etc..... I wanna drive this summer!
Who will be finished first? Pics when I get into swing!
Rik

Maybe I will have it authenicated by Dretc., and then sell it via O......

PS, this (D & O) has become a topic on the dutch site too......
my point of view: it doesn't matter anymore who is 'right', but that there are two people getting very unfavorable publicity WORLDWIDE.
and don't start pointing HE STARTED...
Anyway, Veep, what color will yours be? Do you have a flat dash? I know barend does, I don't

Mine will be white, with Jolly Club lettering! And NOT concours!

I have seen a 1750 GTV with early dash fitted somehow, so I think it's possible to install old style dash on your car (I suppose you have '68-70 GTJr w/1750 style dash). You may be able to find a used dash, or get a lightweight one made of fibergrass.

What kind of engine you are planning on using?? There seems to be quite a few people working on a GTAlization of the Bertone coupe... My mom and I had one made back in late '90s but we paid too much attention to every detail that the final product costed more than buying a GTA/GTAJr (the prices of the real ones have almost doubled since then; my mom found and bought a fairly inexpensive GTAJr soon after the completion of the project). Calling all the fellow alfisti working on a GTAish Bertone project, let us know more about your project!!

And this is my racecar project...
We make the dash ourselfs (racer) but with the top of the later GT/1750.
By the way: were do you buy your mesh for the grille? and which centre part do you use, giulia?
I hope to have the car shaken down before the Spectacolo Sportivo (this year....

....and I'll be there at the SS to watch, listen smell and drink coffee.

Please get your cameras warmed up, charged and the lighting in the garage just right for all the shots you are going to post of your projects because I, for one, want to follow the progress.

(offtopic)
BTW Barend - just recently bought a 155 2.0 TS 8V which you used to service. It still has a sticker on the rear screen. Funny that. It was one of the reasons why I trusted this particular car and it hasn't let me down on my recent 2500 km Autobahn trip. Very fast car too.

@Veep: i have a mesh grille for spare it's a new one without the lower parts but i think i can get these for you as well. The center part is from a Giulia, you just make the back a little smaller. There are also aluminium ones for sale for about 250 euro's but the Giulia one is very good to get.

@kroehl : Is it a green one (small body) ?

@Juultje: Barend, I have a old Mesh grille, upper part only, I just want to change the old mesh for new, the frame can be polished. The lower parts I don`t have, but I think my holes are a little bit bigger than the original..

In a little while we can open up a separate Dutch speaking part on this forum...

@Veep: Lets keep it English you never know what nice information we can get from our foreign Alfa lovers.
I still interested in the pictures of your door lock. The drawing for the holes is super.
