New GTA wheels and tires on the GTV

Ok, so I'm proud, so I had to share.

Last Friday, I ordered a set of GTA replica wheels from Alfaholics. They arrived on this Wednesday - 4 business days for shipping from the UK! Thats awesome.

You can see that the castings are pretty nice. They dont have the fin detail on the reverse side that the original wheels have, but I certainly wouldnt expect that at the price. They are clearly marked "Alfaholics" on the back.

I used BF Goodrich Traction T/A's in a 195/65-14 size. I didnt want to spluge on the replica Michelins from Coker because I really wasnt sure how they'd perform.

Pics show the size difference between the original 165HR14's that were on the car and the 195/65's. The new tires are about 3/4" shorter in height, and a bit wider. I would have really rather had something closer in height, but I none of the selections in 185/70 suited me.

Last pic is the wheels mounted on the car. Alfaholics supplies nice stainless lug nuts in both RH and LH threads, so I didnt have to change the studs. I used plenty of anti-sieze and didn.t over-torque so as to avoid galling on the stainless threads.

I agree! Those wheels/tire combination looks wonderful! Especially on a 1750. I have the same tires on my GTV, and I really like them. I've had them for about a year now and they are perfect for spirited street driving and work very well in the rain and even light snow!
