Does anyone have an idea as to where I could find a replacement air tube that connects the air box to the filter (part 106.01.08.013.01).

Mine disappeared many years ago.

Thanks

My car suffered from soggy rear springs, so I replaced them with a pair of "Lesjöfors 4247001", which is the closest fit I could find. The car sits about 40mm higher, at the rear wheelhouse, and the ride is much more firm and confident. The new springs have a rating of +40%, compared to the originals. The ends are not ground, like the originals, but it doesn't seem to matter. No, they don't make springs with ground ends these days.

The dimensions are close enough:

Thread diameter 12,5mm (12,0mm)
Outher diameter 130mm (133mm)
Length 465mm (520mm)
N ca 9 (ca 10)

Best Regards / Erik

I have read much of what has already been posted regarding Dayton wire wheels for the Alfa 2000 Spider and have pretty much decided to get a set with the knock off option (though the pics of the wheels with the lug nuts do look great). My one question is, since these are 16" wheels that take wider tires, will a mounted wire wheel fit in the spare tire compartment in the trunk? If you have a set of these, could you let me know. It is the difference between buying four wheels or five (@$590 each). My concern is both the diameter and width.
Thanks,
Ken

Hi,

I am missing the soft-top rear bow on my 2600 spider. The curved metal piece that is sewn into the top and hooks under the three deck catches.

I am looking for pictures/measurements (or an old rusty one) so I can make one up for my car.

I would also consider borrowing one (and paying a deposit).

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,
I'm about to purchase my first Sprint. A LHD 1961 2000 in Silver.

Before I do I was hoping I might get some advice. Essentially I'm looking for some thoughts on what a new owner of a '61 Sprint should look out for. It's not my first Classic, but it is my first Sprint.

Are they well behaved? How easy are parts to find? I'll be looking to do a simple 'upgrade' to the interior sometime soon - its already well kept, and very 'orginal' but needs attention, TLC and the seats need re-stuffing/ springing etc

Next up, I was going to investigate Borrani wheels. What sizes would they be? Are they simple enough to fit?

- I wondered if any one has any recomendations?

Any thoughts and experience is much appreciated.

Hello,
I'm about to purchase my first Sprint.

We find ourselves seeking information as it has been brought to our attention that there are two different types of setups which are for the 1900's. One has longer Pitman and Idler arms as well as different size adjusting rods and tie rod ends.

We believe that it is possible that the longer components are designed for quicker steering on various models, however we'd like to call upon the Forum Alfiste to clarify the validity of this hypothesis.

In addition, other information germaine to this topic is desired as well as potential sources for the availability of inner and outer tie rod ends that would fit the longer of the two set ups. Please note that the tie rod ends needed are male threaded 16mm x 1.5 pitch, with the right hand threaded tie rod end having the grease fitting opposite the tapered shaft while the left hand threaded tie rod end has the grease fitting on the side, i.e. perpendicular to the tapered shaft.
