Interest in Replacement Oil Vapor Condensors?

I am thinking of getting a run of oil vapor condensors made up. These are the black canisters that capture the oil vapors from the cam cover. Nearly every one of these that I've seen has been rusted away and I have not found a source for replacements.

Does anyone have interest in a new one? If so, would you prefer carbon steel (as stock) or stainless?

Let me know,

Rear glass ?

Will the rear glass of a 71 gtv fit in my 67 gtv? I started taking apart my parts car (71) to make some room and thought it might be nice to have a rear defroster on the 67.
Has anyone done this ? Or is my mind thinking to much

Can an aircon pump be run by an electric motor ...

... and thus you would be able to maybe hide the pump up under the dashboard.

Yes I'm discussing a modification, so feel free to slag me off if you want :), but today in Sydney it is apparently going to reach 41 degrees C.

When my GTV is complete I want to be able to use it lots, thus I'm thinking I might need aircon, but I do not really want to make any modifications. I thinking if we could have enough current available from the battery that we could run the aircon pump electrically then maybe I could completely hide the required system up under the dash and in front of the wide gearbox tunnel covering. Yes I realise I will need a evaporator but other than that the system would be 100% hide-able.

The other thing I've thought about is to run a 'drive-shaft' from the rear of the alternator to and through the bulkhead ... but I think the electric motor idea is better.

I guess I won't really know if I need it or not until the car is finished, but now would be the time to design this modification while the car is just a shell ... I guess a chilly-bin sitting on the passenger seat with a few coke bottles in it would be a better idea

Help identifying springs

I've ended up with these springs that I am told were 'race springs' for an Alfa GTV. Before I play around with them too much I wondered if anyone knew what they are / who made them / what they might be suitable for?

The dimensions are:

Blue:
 Height = 220mm
 Outside diameter = 136mm
 Inside diameter = 96mm
 Coil thickness = 20mm (approx)

Red:
 Height = 336mm
 Outside diameter = 118mm
 Inside diameter = 89mm
 Coil thickness = 1.45 (approx)

Any thoughts appreciated.

I'm new at this so your input is much appreciated. The driver's door window in my 74 GTV won't work, so I ordered a regulator and the felt-covered rubber strip thingies (Centerline calls them “Window channel spiders”) that go in the window channels or tracks. Now my problem is I can't get the following items apart or out:
1. Can't get the two metal "shoes" (holders, caddies) off the bottom of the glass. These each have two screws to hold the cable in place. Don't they come off the glass? It seems to me they need to come off so I can get the glass out.
2. The channels. Do they come out of the door? I’d like to get them out so I can scrape them clean and put new channel rubber (“spiders”) in them but after removing bolts they still don’t want to come out.
Thanks!

I have a 105.22 (1974 GTV 2000 - RHD) and I suspect that the seat belts within the car are not original. I also suiepct that this may have been an after factory thingy that got chnaged around (static vs inertia). I have pasted a picutre of two rear seat latches that I took of a wreck at my local mechanics and I wonder if anyone could advise as to the correct type. I have also attached a photo of the seat belt latch currently in the car - sorry it's no very visable.

Any thoughts or informed opinions?

Questions about my new '74 GTV

I just picked up a '74 GTV, my first Alfa since the '67 GTV I had when I was a kid a hundred years ago. This car runs great and shifts smooth and has no rust (okay, 99.9%), which is all great. It needs a lot of little stuff, and most of all it will need the paint and interior re-done. I have questions maybe some of you might be able to help with:

1. The VIN is AR3023997. How can I check to make sure this is a '74 and not a '73? I just want to check.
2. The BWA's (see photo) are nice and undamaged but faded and tired-looking. Is there a tag/link/post or website that would tell me how to improve them as much as possible without paying for a full restoration?
3. The attached photos show the interior, and I have 3 questions about that:
3a. Is this steering wheel stock? I saw another like it online but most photos of '74 steering wheels don't look like this.
3b. The whole dash (top and face) is covered with a "mouse fur" material like what I've seen on some Ferrari 308's and Dino's. The door panels have the correct lines or grooves in them, but they and the rear side panels are also covered in the mouse fur. That's not stock or correct, is it?
3c. The three gauges under that dopey after-market radio are also an after-market addition, right?
By the way, I have the stock shift knob.
Thanks, everyone. I'm happy to once again be entertaining my long-dormant Alfaddiction.;)

Not being that familiar with the floor mounted pedals of the coupes did the clutch MC's with floor pedals have the remote fluid reservoir whereas the hanging pedal cars have the reservoir mounted on the MC itself? Or could a hanging pedal car have a clutch MC with a remote reservoir? Thanks!

Not much luck in the "parts wanted" section, so let me post it here:

One of the previous owners boogered up the dash to the right of the glove box by butchering a hole and installing a clock from a later model Alfa.

Ideally, I would like to replace the entire dash with one that has no holes. A radio hole would be OK depending on the size of the cut-out.
Alternatively, If someone has a damaged dash laying around, I would like to get the part that goes to the right of the glove box so that I can patch up mine.

Thanks.
