rebuild

im looking into rebuilding a 1.7 or 1.5 boxer carby and was woundering what modifycations are bang for youre buck. so far iv bein told that
boring it out
grinding the cams
shaving the heads
polish and porting the heads
bigger carbys
oil cooler
lightening the crank/fly wheel

are these good ideas or are they a wast of time it will still be driven on the road just want to get more power with out forced induction to blow some of them rice burners away

any possitive input is appreciated

ive just bein told that if i put a 1.7 crank into a 1.5 it will be like a stroker crank
