Hi All,
I am rebuilding my 1750 engine for the first time. So lots of questions to ask
I noted 4 drilled passage on the short block.
1 on the oil filter side see pic 1 below and 3 on the carbs side. These 3 are inline - 2 at each end (pic 2 and 3) and 1 in the middle (no pic).
Any ideas what are they for?
Appreciate your opinions and on what I should do with them.

Before this tear down, my engine had pretty healthy pressure... that is ... if that gauge can be trusted
Then again, my main and big end bearings are quite badly scored. So is that a sign of bad pressure or just simply horribly dirty oil with ineffective filter? (don't know when it was last rebuild - probably at least 15 years back with perhaps at least 100k on it?)
