Slow oil leak

I have a 1974 Alfa GTV with the 2000 engine. The car has a slow oil leak from the pan and I can't find out where it's coming from nor can I stop it . The engine is running redline 10W30 synthetic. Wherever I park it, it leaves an oily mess. Has anyone else had this problem and stopped it?

How's the front crank seal doing?

If it's weeping or not quite totally shot, it'll fool you into believing it's the pan all day long......

Is it leaking from the front of the pan or the rear?

I had a leak that looked like it was coming from the back of the upper pan and it turned out to be the rear crank seal. Took all summer to figure it out.

It was when I had it jacked up and saw oil dripping out of the bell housing drain hole that I finially figured it out.

My engine was just rebuilt too.

I don't believe so. When I look under the car, i can see a small droplet forming on the front crossmember.

another source of oil leaks on the front of the engine is the hose from the oil vapor seperator, it runs from the seperator to the dipstick tube, under the radiator. these crack and leak oil all over the front of the engine. at least it did on my 74 spider. also, 10w30 synthetic is a little thin for 4 cyl alfas, please search, you will find a lot of people who have oil leaks with synthetics thicker than that.
