need answers alfa romeo 33

hi guyss i own an alfa 33 1.8 8v carburatered and iv just finished the top end rebuild

today i took the boxer for a local quick drive to the petrol sstation forgot to say i only have the exhaust manifolds on the car no mufflers or xhaust

it was a struglle to drive and it stuttred when i take off and change gears if i dont give it high revs not to mention its not really powerfull at the moment

its a 5 speed manual

would anyone kknow what the problem is ???
