I'd see if there's one available in the U.S. already, as most people have to buy two from the Ebay vendor. I don't think a person should pay more than $1500 for one, all things considered. The engine should have the pilot hole in the crank, but will also be in an undertermined state inside. I've heard of people hardly replacing a thing and others having engines with bad cams or a bad piston. It depends on why the 75 was junked in the first place. Good Luck.

John,

The TS engine topic has popped up a good bit on this forum. Here's a link below to 2 engines being auctioned right now. I have used David Gabriele twice now. Expect tired complete engines that will need work.

Using the search engine on this site is great way to find all the other threads that deal with the TS engine swap. To save you a little time try these threads first.

thanks a ton, dale. that was a great thread with you and bruce colby. it seems there is still a lot of customization necessary even with the current selection of conversion components. i think i'll keep gathering wisdom on this until i feel i have all of the gotchas, parts & procedures listed & understood.

Roller, I'm in the same boat as you. i've seen everything from $260 to $1500 for engines. In fact, I should have had the one for 260, but I backed out (came out of a running car that had been hit from behind, looked very promising). All I can say from my experience of searching is there are engines out there, but dont take mine.
