GTV6 3.0L conversion text

I dunno how many of you saw this but on alfagtv6.com there is a new tech article on how to convert a 12v 164 engine to GTV6 use. Basics are the same for Milanos as well. this is definitely helping me out in my conversion.

http://alfagtv6.com/msdocs/3L_update_Conversion.doc

Its in word format.

Thats a nice link!

Let me paste you another one from where we are putting a 164 3.0qv engine into my friends gtv6 -83.
The project aint completed yet and it differs some from what is done in the link pasted by "81gtv6" as we are fitting the engine with its original motronic injection with inlet and everything.
Unfortunatly all text is in Swedish as it is pasted on a Swedish alfaforum, so I guess the link I'm pasting wont help anyone alot, but it can atleast work as an inspiration.

Should someone have a question feel free to mail me at mopar@telia.com
Use engine swap alfa as topic or it will be considered junkmail and trashed.

Good old seb! I have been following his conversion in the alfagtv6.com forum! He has been quite helpful to my own conversion. Has he gotten the motronic figured out yet?

I've looking at installing a '91 164l 3.0 into my '84 GTV6. I've seen a lot of info on different conversions but none covering the specifics that I want to do for now. I would like to put this engine in with the 164l complete fuel system; ECU, Motronics, AFM, etc., into my GTV6. I see that there are inherent ancillary bolt on item issues from the posts. However, can this be done using the 2.5l Plenum/runners and stock exhaust manifolds? I'm trying to simplify for now and do future mods when funds allow.

Has anyone tried fitting a 24V into a GTV6? The unit I'm considering has problems with the meters.

Been done. Larry did it here. And he has also put it in a Milano.
