Hey Johnny,

You gotta post up here that shot with those pimpin' yellow shoes. Here, i've got a pair i've only worn 5 times in three years cause they're so fly!! Won't even think of driving with them. Those pedels would mash up the white top "quick-fast" So, quit readin' this and post that pic

To all the present subscribers to this thread...my bad for postin' the shoes. But when Johnny posts "that pic".........you'll see what i mean...

awesome, but only 300 HP? Here in Holland is a guy who really had 452 Horses (crank) on the water dyno with his 3.5 24V...
seeining as how advanced your engine will be, will it be (I know..) 'only'be 300 HP?

Nice, but this engine is supposed to go into your 91 spider? A 12 valve BARELY fits in the engine bay how is a 24 valve going to fit? How are you going to mate the 105 tranny to the v6 engine? I know hans in atlanta and Nick in California who are master mechanics and they don't recommend using 105 trannys (to weak). They either use a maserati biturbo trans or a trans from a alfa six.

Azzurri,

All it takes is a properly designed plate adapter/spacer 3/4 around the 105 bell housing just as V6GTJ has shown. Mine is similar to V6GTJ's, except mine is home to the starter as well. As far as the 24 valver fitting in the engine bay? Not a problem The tranny? You'd be surprized how robust these trannys are - even in the stock form. But just for added security i've had the entire internals replaced with new components (shafts, syncros, sleves, ect..). As well, all tranny's gears are now forged "close-ratio" gears which have been lightened and hard shot peened for even extra strength. No problems here as well. I've spoken with Nick awhile ago. He said that as long as the tranny is in very good shape - stock even...all would be fine. Dawie has also agreed...

Hey man! Weren't you supposed to stuff sumthin' nasty under your hood?? What's the hold up??

I had a project of my own but time and $$ got me sidetracked, now i'm working on a diff project and i'm trying to get 150hp out of my fiat 500.

Truth of the matter is that the 24 valve heads are more compact - see the threads under Milano/75 - Fit with ABS...!

Also, the 24 valve sits lower in the engine bay than a 12 valve...

As for 450 plus crank horses out of a 3.5 Alfa V6 - maybe on a twin turbo- next you will be telling me that it is a 12 valve too...!? Never on an NA Alfa block. I will personally be doing some candle-licking (and I hate doing that...), on the day that you see 450 plus naturally aspirated at the crank from one of these motors in 3.5 trim no less!!! Nope - not a chance - at least not for two days in a row - the block pulls and the bearings go as soon as the block cools and stress-releases.

TT - yes - 600-700 hp at the crank currently running in SA cars - see this month's Auto Italia Magazine - our friend Stewart Kidgel's TT 3.45 in the Ultima running just 1 Bar....

Nah - I have been personally involved in 15-plus builds with Dawie now over 2 and a half years (arguably a man who knows where the power is on one of these things) and 300 to 330 for the street at the crank is as good as it gets, 350 to 375 for the track and 400-425 in full-race trim. We saw 301 AT THE WHEELS on Jes' 3.7 and my new motor should throw about 340-350 at the wheels here at sea-level.

Streetfame,
Why won't you just install the 2.5 liter V8 from a Montreal? Your going to be doing just as much fabrication anyways so why won't you have fun with the extra 2 cylinders!

You're not serious are you? Those engines are works of art, but c'mon they get about 250 hp on a very good day.

I could happen with alot of upgrades. the Alfa 155TI DTM race car was only a 2.5 and it pulled 450hp and it was a NA engine.
