Remixed DEMON Front And Rear Drafts Together!

Y'know....it's like this. The DEMON sounds so brutal, that it just needed an exterior that exemplifies her soul - that 3.7!! I've set aside an immense amount of my free time to build and document this build to share my passion for creativity and design and at times, I've felt at my ropes end and wanted to just buy something else that I could enjoy out of the box, slightly mod it from there and drive it hard - nothing that would hold me up for months or years. But where's the fun in that, right? I guess one of the real satisfactions comes in knowing that I've never pass another one, anywhere I go.

Anyway, here are the latest drafts of the front and rear together for comparison. Many thanks to all that have helped me get to this point. This is our Alfa - the DEMON.

ya mighht want to play with rolling all of he edges of the center pod and exhaust port but otherwise i think this nails it down...i know you see what im looking at,...those sharp corners fold on the otherwise "wraped" body...im not talking a huge curve just take the "edge" off ya know bro

eitehr way i feel this is definatly "it" just minor refineing

As well as soften the centre pod you can also harden the outer edges. Have the outline mimic the outline of the boot/trunk. I think then the whole diffuser will "flow" better with itself and the rest of the car. You might go for the sweep of the tail light cut-out but that might be too severe.

Looking good.

Yeah, I saw that as I was shutting down my computer and knew you would see that! Corrected.

Thanks Andrew. I adjusted all of was you said. I think the tail sweep will be too much. But yes, overall, I think we`re almost there.

New DEMON Diffuser Concept Draft (Clean-Up)

Softened the port edges and lower curvature line (facing ground after last curve before going straight to the bumper outskirts). Also added the missing inner/outer lip edge and shaded in a bit more shadow on the lower portion of the port for more depth and shape.

Obviously, all these small tweaks, is for the most realistic draft that can be done now before we get back to Frank's chop shop. This way, we can stay on point as in previous mods. Thanks for all the nit-picking. If I miss anything during the real work stage, let me know. As always, once we reach that stage, there will be TONS of shots provided from basically every angle for us to obsess over!!

Respect guys.

Ya know Bro, all these shots of the D in white or nearly so really has me thinking... I mean what is more innocent? It's like the schoolgirl in her uniform, and then you take another look and realize how she's stacked, and then you take a third look and, damn! did that saucy whench just wink at me???

Really, especially these latest final drafts that are really hitting the nail, I can't see hiding the Demon in dark colors anymore, she's just too damn pretty!!

Just sayin.

randy ive been on that board for a long long time..but not white!!!!!..imo black and white are the 2 WORST colors on cars..white hides alot lines and makes a car look "fat" where black hides twice as much and makes the car look "tiny"....the charchol color is wise but if it was me id drop the color quite a few stages to something more grey toned.{think half way between grey primer and the color you have slated}.still black but more of a gunmettal black vs a black with a splash of grey......dont get me wrong i love the slated color for the demon but its going to hide so much and its a shame what its going to hide

DEMON Final Paint Convo.

Is the moon lining up with Venus tonight or whatt?? I just got off the phone with one of my Bro's and he said to me that I'd be better off painting the DEMON in a lighter color. Can you guess what color he said? Bright silver to gun metal. But leaning heavily on a gun metal that he said would crisp up the DEMON and make the lines pop far better than the dark grey.

Then I log back onto the thread, only to see the same convo developing. What tha hell, man?!!

I see both points being made by Randy and Short and I firmly believe their comments are justified considering all the changes. Yes, I LOVE the lava pearl grey. What's not to like? But just as my Bro just told my a**, "You gotta cater to the detail and lines you've worked hard for and put aside a color just because you like it. In reality, he's right. Not every car looks good in every color, right? Some look stunning in red, others need to be silver. Taste aside, I also believe the color should match your personality. So personally, I would gravitate to a gun metal before white.

So I took this opportunity to look into other options and found a possible option to consider. Ironically, it's on a F430 being driven by bootylicious, Kim Kardashian. As my Bro, Montano said, "It's crisp. Not "muddy" like the lava pearl grey."

Agree?

Here's the DEMON yet again with her bumpers on and even in the light primer, I can see a lighter color making more sense, detail wise. That I can't argue with.

Randy, don't think I could do white. Would you sleep with gun metal and call her the next day?

Only a very minor tweak to the front but I like the top of the vents parallel to the bumper top. I also rounded the bottom corners to pick up the rear diffusor more.

thats about the shade i was thinking..being a body and paint guy among other things i know how to make lines pop....that color is a tad too "chrom" so to speak but maybe its just the angle of the shot......black shows the problems and vanishes the good white hides the crap and the good....i REFUSE to paint any car darker than a rattle can of castiorn(i use that as a referance only for the shade)..with the exception of my 58 ford cause she was born black and wears it well

bro why you think i picked something realy wildly exotic for my lloyd(mack truck silver base with house of kolors uk16 magenta candy)..make them lines POP POP POP in your FACE with them...and with a lighter color your accents are going to be more prominant which they should be.......its almost like going from these black and white mockups to full color..the differance will be stunning

anyone who owns a white car of the same body of another car with a midrange color knows how much hides..chrome almost vanishes at most angles etc..me ive got a nice spectrum of 67-69 cudas from rootbeer brown to white..and the lines always show best in the mid to dark..anything past "dark" and your gown down the wrong path into chrom poping off of lines that arnt there untill your standing on top of them...wish i had some comparison shots sideby side of dark vs light to show ya...most dont notice it till till youve got 2 of the same cars side by side

You guys read me wrong, I wasn't really saying White White. I was saying something light. I'm seeing like a very light blue with a medium pearl. Very light. With just one or two very thin medium light blue pin stripes. But, hey, the silver could work. Who knows, Bootylicous may pull you over to compare notes and ...??!

Honestly, that heavy silver thing doesn't work for me. It's gimmicky, like what is it? A chrome Delorean or what? I will admit I think it would work better on the Demon than on her 430, but still.

I as bad as you, gotta get sleep, bye!

I took another look. It's not as bad as I thought at first. Could work actually. Still I like my "SeaSky" concept. On the silver, I would just tone down the mirror effect a bit.
