Talking 164 engine into a Milano thoughts/knowledge?

I found a 164 engine not to far from my home was wondering if it makes sense to replace my 2.5 and if anyone knows whats involved.

New oil pan, flywheel etc...

Anymore info would be appreciated thanks in advance.

Look here:

for a 164 into GTV6 conversion.

Some more points to ponder here - with the 164 motor you don't have the coolant plumbing issues described here (or as much of the oil-sump issues) but the rest of these points pretty much stand for the 164 conversion as well...

147 GTA 3.2 24v into a GTV6 (116) ?

JUNGLE: Okay read all that and figure I'm not going to persue this engine. Was talking to another BB member and said keep the 2.5 and work with it. So what are your thoughts in placing forged pistons and super charging the 2.5.

MALDI: I couldn't open the file for some reason any other way to view it.

NOOOOO!!!!! Do it-do it! Move your project forward in the technology world...

Go 24 valve BY ALL MEANS!

You can possibly "bolt-in" 210 horses on any 12 valve for the same money...

So I should do it but find a more modern engine say a 24v.

The cost? Please give me a chance to sit down first.

Your 3.7 v6 24 valve for example let me guess 20k plus 5k

Not feesible for me.

So small budget = no African engine now I need a tissue!! And a chair...with fast wheels.

I found a salvage 3.0 Milano near my home but the Mechanic wants 5k Canadian because the buy back from insurance was high. Can you belive 5k for a car the requires work.

What is an acceptable price for Engines? 3.0 Verde, 164 12 valve, 24 valve(?) and so on?

What is a descent Verde complete worth? 4k to 8K I'm going to pose these questions on this site.

In a nut shell what did this document show? Was it how to install the engine and what is involved. Because if this is the case I got to figure this problem out. Maybe I need to download microsft word I belive I have a cd somewhere.

If you are on a budget, you should find a good used 24 valve engine and put it in your GTV6 or Milano... Well worth the money!

Yes he's a theaf I sent you a private email. Was just looking at all your posts interesting to say the least. I'm in the middle of BBQ yes even in the winter but for me it's spring. I work outside all year so it's no big deal even with this cold.
