Looks great but i don't think paint reached all hidden boxed spots , and that's rust lurking. I think someone posted about dip galvinizers that would have been the right way to go.
Hi Kevin. I just saw this thread for the first time. The dipping idea is a good one BUT you may have an issue now. The channel where the steering box is bolt to, and the damper on the other side, may have a real challenge for you. You see in that channel is aluminum blocks. When dipping, aluminum falls apart. so when you bolt those items back together that wall may collapse. You may have gotten lucky if the "dip" was weak. Good luck. I wish you well on this.
I am thinking of doing the same thing. After all, 240HP and not having to worry about what parts to use and not experiment says alot. Did you try and get an adapter plate made for the trany to bolt up to the backof the engine? That way just the engine compartment would have needed mods? Great Job!
The holidays pretty much shut me down for a two months, with all
that goes with them and visiting relatives, etc...
I have been prepping the car for the undercoating, masking, grinding, welding, etc.
I am using a product made by 3M called Body Shutz part #08864
This is the paintable version of the undercoating, and also protects
against corrosion (unlike the non-paintable version).
I have not been able to finish the undercoating due to the cold days
we have been having here in SoCal
But I did get a bunch of the suspension parts back from the powder coaters,
and they look great!! I will try and post some pics soon.... hang in there

One last tidbit, each can of the undercoating comes with a nozzle.
This nozzle screws into the gun, to apply the product. There is no
clean up, and the nozzle is a venturi type and no undercoating touches
the gun. It's really convenient, and a lot less messy than cleaning
applicator guns.

Very good point Daron, you are 100% right about them being aluminium, we have seen them breaking up in cars that get very rusty. Keven - lets hope they haven't disintegrated!
