Kev, did you make that engine/gbox trolly yourself ? If so do you have the specs/plans for it so I can copy please ?

Questions:
4) Where do I get rear wheel studs? IAP is out, and the exchange
rate and shipping from Euro is too high...[/quote]
Keven- I have some rear wheel studs (no lug nuts, though)- they are longer than the stock studs on a spider using steel wheels- I was going to use them on a Duetto to accomodate the thicker Cromodora wheels- let me know if you think they will work for you- great project, BTW!

Phil,
Here's a link to the engine dolly project:
engine/tranny stand
I did not do any drawings, just bought a bunch of 2"x2" metal
square tubes and used a chop saw, and measured as I went
along. Worked out pretty good, althought I should have
used larger plates where the motor mounts go, cause my
engine cannot be bolted onto the dolly. But it's nice to
have to move the motor around the shop.
Dan,
I think I have found some studs, but thanks for the offer.

Kev, can I ask a huge favour, do you mind measuring the dolly for me and giving me the key measurements, in metric if possible. I know this is a pain, but I am in the same situation as you. No space.
Thanks,
Phil

The rear end is in!! Still waiting for the studs.
I bought Wilwood brakes, the fronts are 120-5212
for 0.50" disc width, 1.75" bore 4-piston, and 3.5" bolt centers.
Theoretically they should just bolt on, like that's ever
happened on this project
The rears will be Wilwood 120-4060 for 0.38" disc width, 1.75" bore
2-piston, and 3.75" bolt centers. These will require a custom bracket
to mount. I got a Wilwood proportioning valve, to dial in the rears.
All of this will be connected, to a Honda S2000 brake booster/master
cylinder, with S2000 pedals

Here's the Wilwoods...
Oh, the discs will be the IAP drilled and slotted rotors.
I got them the other day, and look to be of very good
quality, made in Italy (Brembo's?)

Finally a roller!! Five years to get to this point!
Got the front hubs on with new bearings. Installed
the rear parking brake shoes, hardware, and cables.
Got the rear Wilwoods, and made a template to nachine
the adapter. Looks like they will fit perfectly. Couple
of pics of comparing the stock ATE calipers with the
Wilwoods. They are about the same size, but there
is a huge difference in mass.
Next, I will lower the S2000 motor to see what happens
to the ride height. I'm concerned about the rear, as it
looks to ride rather high. I thought the Centerline springs
would lower it about an inch? Of course there is no gas
tank or spare in the trunk, so will wait before doing anything
drastic.

...been watching this one - good job! (Can't wait see that S2000 in there!)
The rear will come down with doors, and full interior ad like you said; tank, gas, glass etc etc!
Still though - have you considered coil-overs (RSRacing has full-adjustable rears that are a direct bolt-in for the 105s...) You can have just the springs adjustable or adjustable springs and shocks...
For the front their setup remains separate shocks and springs, but with their special rates and valving...

Jungle,
I as well have been following your Spider conversion, and the
work you are doing is incredible. I actually am going to steal
your idea the plate you used for the Wilwood pedals you are
using. Thanks for the kind words, but my project looks pretty
amatureish next to yours!! Also I did not consider the weight
of the doors, thanks. I was originally going to go with Alfaholics
suspension, but funds are running low, but will keep RS Racing
on the back burner for down the line.

Hey Keven - sorry - wrong guy - I sold the 3.7 litre 24 vale to Michael (Verric) up in Toronto and he is putting it in that beautiful S4 Spider show-car conversion... Mine is the full-race 3.7 litre 24 valve Milano under that forum...
Either way - I'm sure Michael doesn't mind you using some of his ideas from the Spider project...
Group 2 Inc is the US distributor for the RSRacing suspensions - buzz them if and when you are ready - 206.378.0900 - www.group2inc.com
Cheers
