Roberto Giordanelli's Master GTA Issues

Always had a thing for really difficult projects (like Kevin's), Roberto Giordanelli's 105 is by all mean exceptional. I would really like some clarification here:
1) How the hell the 155 Gta engine you mentioned ,which is front wheel drive fits to the stock gearbox??????

2) Has the chassis been even slightly changed for this modification? Or the engine was a simple bolt on?

The alfa 155 GTA engine is based on the FIAT 124 Twin Cam engine.

That engine has evolved from the orginal 8 valve 1600cc design on the 124 to the Lancia Delta integrale 16Valve 2000cc Turbo.

It has also powered the crazy group B rally super cars. The Fiat 131 Abarth (naturally aspirated), Lancia 037 Rally (turbocharged) and the Delta S4 (super and turbocharged) were powered by the same engine in diferent tune.

There was a 4wd alfa 155 version, the Q4. That car is basicaly an Alfa 155 with an Delta Integrale running gear. I think the 155GTA was based on that car.

The alfa twin cam engine is very similar to the Fiat twin cam engine. It shoudn't be very difficult to fit the alf gear box to the fiat engine. The engine mounts are located in the same place I think...

The chassis and engine installation of a 155 Alfa make it front wheel drive ... not the engine itself.

The engine is just a component ... you can do what ever you like to it. The only time this would be an issue (but not unsolveable) would be if the gearbox and engine block were a single casting.

For example I made a sportscar with an Alfa Sud engine bolted to a Ford close ratio gearbox ... and this was a rear wheel drive car.

he is running the lancia engine but with a alfa rocker cover. also this car is actually rear wheel drivwe. also i would be very sceptical of the 500bhp that is claimed because in the spec sheet you get if you enqiure about the car as he is selling it there is no way that the mods can equate to 500bhp. more like 370bhp.
