Took the car out for a quick run today . It was so nice sunny and 11 Deg C
I drove over to an industrial area not too far from the garage and drove it
like I stole it
WHAT FUN !!
I am excited about doing up the rear end so I can get even more power to the ground.

What rear end would be then?
Ive tried the sliding block thing, that has its limitation's, the Watts link set up is very complicated to fabricate and set up,I found the Panhard Rod arrangement the best, very simple and effective
Thats before I chucked all that old 50s axle stuff over the fence and went ........... but thats another story!

An 800 rpm raise on rev limiter is a big jump. Are you sure your rods & pistons are up to it, my standard TS motor 150 BHP with limited slip & std rev limit has split two drive doughnuts in under two years sunny operation. Too many power slides & jumping bridges! Be careful you have brought the car a long way already !
Regards & well done. Keith

No Doughnuts for me too soft and gooey .
I have installed the replacement kit from Alfaholics.
Alfaholics Full Length Race Propshaft | Classic Alfa Romeo spare parts and accessories
I am not sure what will part of the drive line will let go first but it will not be the
drive shaft .

7.9 kilo's for the driveshaft(s)? that works out to be about17.38 pounds.. unless they are aluminum it doe's not sound right.. my 1 peice aluminum shaft' weighs in at at 8 pounds.. and that is less then just the front( stock ) shaft'

It's a small gnit, but that third u-joint really should be a CV joint. A single u-joint generates a torque oscillation, and it takes a correctly aligned matching u-joint to undo the effect. You only get the oscillation for non-zero joint angles, and the third u-joint (in the place of the guibo) is sorta aligned.
