Twinspark conversion Rev counter advice

Hi all finally getting close to finshing the twinspark conversion in my GTam replica.

One question for anyone that has already done this what have people done re the Rev counter. Obviously I can no longer use the mechanical one in the Dash pod and as i race I would like a more accurate electrical one installed. But I still want to keep the original dash pod (car was a 2.0litre GTV originally).

Any suggestions greatfully accepted. also could anyone let me know which wires and where I can pick up the Rev counter feeds from?

You can use the GTV tach but you need to change the water pump and do a modification to the intermediate gear take look at this :

Are you going to use the Bosch system that came with the TS? I wonder if you could get a tach from a Milano and put it in your pod? You would most likely have to make a new face for the gauge so it would read properly . That would be easy in photo shop.

Convert your mechanical tacho to electronic internals. Why go backwards? Any instrument specialist should be able to do this for you.

I did my own electronic, stripped out the orginal pod, mounted a 75ts tach in the pod with original fascia & needle. Use the white wire from the ignition coil packs for the signal.
Easy ! No not really it took a lot of fiddling, but works.

another option is to get a late spica spider car that came with an "electronica" tach that uses the same housing an face graphic/pointer as a 1750 gtv/spider tach.

is your gtam rep using a 1750 or late 2000 dash board?
