Some beautiful welding there, especially at the flanges .
I'm going to make the sujestion that you impliment an expansion piece in the pipe that runs under the gearbox.
Stainless has a pretty high rate of thermal expansion and that long(ish) piece of pipe could grow a fare bit and could quite quickly cause cracking of the exstactors.

For 304SS the coefficient of thermal expansion is 19.9 µm/m-°C, so for a pipe temp of say 200°C above ambient, a 1m long pipe grows 3.98mm. I doubt that's 1m long, so I wouldn't be too worried about it.

Hello Larry,
Very interresting parts you´ve got.
I am interrested in info and prices on the following parts:
-Conversion parts for putting a 3,0ltr V6 12valve QV-engine in my GT1600 Junior.

Umm, wow - that is some fine work there! Did you make your own patterns or have the foundry do it? I also like the oil pan work. Very stealthy!
Shoot, if you can do that, how about cooking up some 164 door handles!

I am interested in a v6 swap and your work is impressive. If you have a price pm me and let me know. It would be nice to get all the pieces at one time to do the job. Thanks, Michael

In the next couple weeks I should have the final pricing with all machine work done for the bellhousing. I will list the price for the various parts, headers are very time intensive and I may not be able to do them nearly as fast as the other parts, may have to search out a shop who can build them for me....
As for fitting in a righthand drive car I highly doubt it. You would have to shift the engine to the left as much as possible. that is limited due to the fact the tunnel is ofst to the right to start and then it still would be a problem due to the ZF sterring box. I have only ever seen ZF's in righthand drivers.
That reminds me me stuff fits only with a burman steering box, the ZF's stick up higher and hit the head. Anyone who is interested in the kit must have or be willing to use a Burman box. I prefer them anyways, never cared for the slop off center with ZF's

Hows the car handle with the V6 conversion? Just wondering if its front heavy and if the weight ratio is really off.

Is there any updat on a conversion kit at all? I have a 3.0L 164 engine and a 67 GTV with a blown engine so extremely interested. I see there was a question about if this would work on a RHD car any word on that?

After spending a bit of time looking at the 3l in my 164 and my empty 105 engine bay, I have to say the starter motor location is a massive problem for a rhd car...

I sort of see it this way:
The starter on a Nord or TS engine is on the RH side
The steering idler box is not much smaller than a steering box
The V6 block should not be any wider at that point
So the only real issue is whether you can fit an exhaust system down there with a sterring column on that side.
I think I will have to go out and spend some time with one on the hoist to see.

Look again. There is not a hope in hell with the starter there on a v6
the idler is smaller in every way that matters.
