Speedo too Fast?

So I installed a speedo cable into my 76 spider. This is the first time in 15 years I have been able to tell how fast I am going. THis is also the first time I have put a single mile on the odometer. I know that the odometer is moving too fast, and I am concerned that my speedo is not accurate. Is there an adjustment that I am not seeing?

Thanks

Moose

I had driven the car for so long without a speedo or tach I really had no idea how fast I was going. I just figured if I got stopped, at least I was having fun driving it the way I wanted to. I took the car out after a long storage and with a now working speedo and tach couldn't believe that I was going as fast as it was registering. My GPS unit proved that the speedo is indeed accurate. I guess I was pretty luck all the years I drove with out it.

Maybe it is that low radar profile.

If you squint when you look at the front of the spider, it sort of looks like a stealth fighter.
