Battery grounding for Giulia?

Help please,

In process of getting my 65 Giulia Veloce back on the road after a lengthy restoration. Just received a new Optima Red Top and prior to installation my notes say the old battery was grounded from the positive post. However, my new wiring diagram from Centerline shows the grounding should be from the negative post. What is correct? Does it matter?

Dennis

Giulias all had - ground. Giulietta's had + ground on Normales, and - on Veloces.
Best do it correctly.
