Intermitent short fix

We had a fuse for the instuments blowing now and agan. Impossible to find to fix, untill it did it for long enough to find. But the fuse consumption was getting out of hand, so I went to Jaycar and bought a 12v 4amp breaker switch and slodered it to a blown fuse to comptete the circuit safely. Now to wait. Hope this may be of help to others.

Cheers Greg

You might further narrow it down by seeing how many wires branch off from the fuse box on that circuit and fusing each one of those wires with a simple in-line fuse. Intermittents are a pain.

I'd find out where the short/run to ground is before it starts a fire. Nothing funner than smelling electrical smoke at night halfway home.

Thought I would post a picture of what I did, the breaker throws as soon as there is a short and resets it self after the is fixed or dose a Harry Potter. Bill your suggestion is great I will make a easy plug inline fuse as well

Cheers Greg
