Question 156 battery not holding charge

hi.hope someone can help.have had to jump start my car on the last few occasions.even after i have driven my car for a few hours it does not seem to charge the battery up and will not start again.i am not sure if this is just a simple question of a new battery needed or if it could be something else.

Take the car to a battery/tire shop and have them do a load test on it. How old is the battery? When driving is the ampmeter showing a charge, or the voltmeter showing about 13.5-14V?

it was showing only 10v.got new battery everthing ok now.thanks
