Hazard Switch Wiring

Can anyone tell me the which wires go where on the hazrd unit mounted on the center console. I know that there should by a black/white, blue/black, blue, and black wires going to it, but I do not know where they need to be connected at. Lot of spades for only for wires.

Terminal 49a - white/black (input)
Terminal L - blue/black (output to left side signals)
Terminal R - blue (output to right side signals)
Terminal 31 - black (ground)

None of the other terminals are used.

I couldn't tell you for sure, but I would suspect the switch is somewhat universial for different Alfa makes and models. Sorry best answer I can give you.

Hazard switch

Thanks for the info. Yet another question about hazard switch. Attached to the double black wire that connects to the switch is an offshoot with yet another double black wire connector. What does that attach to?

Don't have a diagram in front of me but I'd wager all the blacks are grounds; daisy chain style.

Since I am not sure your working on a Spider it would be hard for me to say. However, if you are working on a Spider, in particluar a 76, the offshoot black wire actually connects to the heater control panel light (Which I have bypassed becasue I do not have one), from there it branches again to the hazard caution light on the center console.

74 alfa spider hazard switch

OY. Okay I now have disconnected all the wires and want to remove the hazard switch. It seems like there is a large plastic bolt kind of thing on the inside of dash keeping it in place but when I cant seem to trun it independently from the round ring on the front of dash. Any hints, help, saviors out there. I am determined to figure this out!

Also I forgot to mention that I had to hold the outer portion of the hazard switch with pliers while turning the inside attaching ring. I wrapped some electrical tape at the end of the pliers to avod damaging the old hazard switch.
