If I'm not mistaken a 76 is the same as 74.

Does this hazard switch have an internal light that also flashes with the indicators?

If your switch (SAE QC68 DKS) is the same as that in post 12, then yes, there is an internal light (ground terminal 31 is for the internal lightbulb).

hazard ligghts 74 alfa spider

Thanks to all for great help. I now have the hazard lights working when the red button is pushed out instead of in but it works. The only thing I dont understand is why the side lights dont work in conjunction. It seems that they are just and adjunct to the rear and front flashers and I changed all of the bulbs. According to the wiring diagram they are just connected to the main lights so why would the ALL not flash or work. This is the last piece of the puzzle. Also there is still the one wire I cant figure out where to connect which branches off the black wire on one strand and leads to the hazard indicator bulb on the other (that wont light up btw). Someone please help me get to home plate on this. THANKS! (See photo of wire still not connected.)

You mean the side marker lights not flashing with the signals?
Unless I'm mistaken, they aren't supposed to, or at least on later versions they aren't.

However, if you actually want them to, there is a way to hook things up so they flash with the signals. I don't happen to have the wiring setup laying around handy, but do know it can indeed be accomplished. (I did the front markers on my S3 in fact)

Your side markers should not blink with the hazard lights only the actual turn signal lights should blink. If I'm not mistaken both left and right turn signal lights will connect to the blinker switch in the steering column and it bracnhes to the hazard switch. On a 76 they are a blue and a blue/black wire.

I mentioned it in one of the earlier threads that I believe the balck wire that branches from the hazard switch goes to the heater control panel light , if you have one. If not it should go to the hazard caution light on the center console.

As far as the hazard swicth being out versus in, I beleive that is correct. Even my original hazard switch was that way. You push the red botton an it pops out and the falshers come on.
