'79 Sprint Veloce Heater - A/C schematic
Jim, you sent me the overall wiring diagram for this model (with A/C) and I thank I you. I had an 18" x 36" color copy made from your .pdf. Beautiful.
I'm sure you included every wire for the heater and A/C from the information you have available to you. I strongly suspect these dual units were installed in the US, and no complete wiring diagram was ever made for the separate units.
In any event, I'm including photos of what I'm up against when I (try to) eventually install the units in my '75 Alfetta GT. There are three switches: Defrost (heater fan); A/C temp.; A/C fan. Additionally three wires go to the engine bay. The only one I have identified is the one to the dryer. I have a yellow wire on the A/C fan relay which I've labeled Engine bay ?? on the second to the last photo. I feel it must also turn on the fan for the condenser. The wiring on the relay appears to have been fiddled with so I'd very much like to know how it should be wired. The relay is on the second to the last photo.
On the last photo I have the (green) heater fan switch upside down in the photo. I've shot myself in the foot in that I labeled the connectors alphabetically and I'm sure I then made a diagram (which I can't find) of where each goes. The unfortunate thing is there are (very small) numbers by each contact on the switch which would have made reattachment a cinch had I used them. You in turn have them identified as BCLMH. I would sure like to know what the letters stand for. The wires I labeled with a ?? were unattached or disappeared into the wiring loom.
I'm sure I'll have to include all of the photos in at least two posts.
I no longer have the '79 Sprint Veloce. Therefore these units, for now, are useless to me unless I can identify all of the ?? wires. However if the information doesn't exist, then I guess that's the end of it. You can see there are roughly 20 wires not included in your diagram - and as I said, I'm sure you worked with what info you had available.
So I'll also ask if anyone else out there has gone through this same process and made better notes than I did or could have.

The BCLMH blower switch terminal designations are what's written on the original Alfa wiring diagram in the owners manual. Hence, these same designations are on the color diagram as well.
What do they stand for? Well, haven't a clue what the 'B' is (black wire to A/C temp switch) but I'll guess that the 'C' is the 'Common' since it's the hot input to the switch. The 'L, M & H' would appear to be the blower speeds; Low, Middle (or medium) & High (that go to the resistor with one wire [yellow/black 'H'] splitting off to the blower).

Hi papajam.
I am not sure that you received my PM.
Do you have the wiring diagram for a GTV 2,5 (V6) from around 1985, it is only the diagram for the engine (ignition, injection and fuel pump) i need.
If you donīt have it in colour, please send a copy in black & white
Many thanks in advance.
Martin.

Hi Papajam
I would very much appreciate the wiring diagram for a 1968 1750 GTV Series 1.
I'm a bit stuck, pulled out the wiring but didn't quite label the terminations well enough.
My email jon1750@hotmail.com
Thanks for your great efforts.
