papajam, do you have the wiring diagram for the GTV6's interior? All I need is for the electrical side mirrors which I hope to someday install on my Alfettta GT. I'm in no hurry.

I don't mean to insult you since you might well be familiar with them and know the answer. I'm going to ask the group in general a question regarding the switch.

Well, a color version of the 1981 GTV6 is in process but only the lighting portion is complete. However, I could email you the diagrams from the owners manual (don't have 1985 though). Which year do you need?

Jim:

I could use the 74 GTV and the 1979 Alfetta both with and without air/con.
My 79 came with air, but it was removed long ago, so I could simplify the wiring some if I know what both are supposed to be.

Thanks,

Jim, I just went through my GTV6/Milano shop manual. I confess it got little use when I owned my GTV6 and none since. What I'm finding is that the front three quarters of the manual is for all of the mechanicals. At the last part of the manual, it is titled Milano, and then addresses interior items, especially the electrical. It has a one page diagram for a heated and electric mirror.

If ths is also what you have, then I'll stumble through this one but it is very difficult (for me) to determine which wires are for the heating element and which are for the motors. Also, for me, these diagrams are mind boggling since one has to know what each and every number is for. I do not envy you redrawing the myriad wiring diagrams for these cars - though well imagine they'd be a piece of cake compared to doing the 164's.

One of the mirrors has been removed and there are no heating elements in them.

The service manual I have combines the GTV6 & Milano but the electrical section is for the Milano only. No help there. The only GTV6 diagrams I have are in the owners manuals.

Stefano,
Diagrams have been sent.

Jim, thanks for checking. Apparently we both have the same manual.

Welcome, basdet.

Yes, I have a diagram for your 74 Spider but I'll need an email address to send it to.

11541 Spider 1979 2000 wiring diagram

Dear Papasam,

May I please get a copy of diagram 11541 for my 79 Spider. I suspect my car may have been parked too close to an english car in the dark and some of the spirit of Lucas has infected it. I would appreciate your illumination.
thanks

Hi, looking for what color wires go to the heater fan switch.
Just purchased a 81 spider and the heater fan will not function.
