Papajam, I have lived by the diagram you sent me last year for my 72 gtv.thank you so much. I now have a 74 w A/C although the hardware is gone, the harness is a rats nest. Can I get a 74 a/c diagram?
please and thank you!
Eddy

Alfa2K,
Diagram has been sent.
If you wish to donate to the AlfaBB, click on the 'Site Donations' link at the top of every page. And thank you!

tjake,
The best I can do is an 84 diagram. My understanding though is that it is very close, if not the same, as your 85. If you would like the 84 diagram, please send me your email address in a private message.

Eddy,
Thank you for the kind words!
I think you me stumped on this one though. All I recall having that may be remotely similar is the Behr A/C installation instructions for the early 80s Spiders. I'll take a look...

Well I guess I could start with the 'stock' diagram, and work my way back from there.
There are just too many connectors hanging in limbo for me to think anything other then an ac unit installed at some point or maybe 8 CB radios.? either way, its driving me nuts looking at all this mess.
Also maybe a dumb question but are ALL the connectors noted in the diagram or are some just 'assumed' and left unlisted? I can see a few connectors that are not shown on the sheet, which I can identify. I stress A few, since most are beyond my knowledge.
one more thing, There are a group of about 8-10 black wires running from the firewall up into the underside of the dash toward or close to the driverside a pillar, I was wondering what those were since they are visually so different then the multi color groupings that exist everywhere else...
Thanks

Some connectors are assumed and not on the diagram. They include side markers, horn wire (at the steering box) seat switches and key buzzer wire at the ignition switch.
8-10 black wires in one bundle at that location does not sound stock to me. A bit of investigating may be in order, me thinks.
Now for a bit of (perhaps) good news. The A/C installation guide for the 1980 Spider lists both the 115.02 and 115.41 models. The 115.41 arrived in 1978 (77 in CA) and the 115.02 in 1972. In addition, the wiring in the 1982 guide, for Bosch L-Jet cars, is different. This tells me that the 1980 guide could be applicable to the 2l Spica Spiders (72-81). If you'd like a scan of this diagram, please let me know.

ya it didnt look stock to me either, the loom, color and pathway looks ghetto, so I will track it down.
I would love to take a look at the scan, how much different could they be?
thanks for the clearification about the connectors!
And thanks again for the help.
Eddy

I'd be happy to send you that diagram, Greg. All I need is your email address.

And yes, a 10544 is a Euro 1750 GTV. Series 1 cars, which your 1969 probably is, have chassis numbers from 1350001-1375000. Series 2 cars start at #1375001. Please verify your chassis number as the S1 and S2 diagrams are different.

Greetings Pappajam,

I recently joined this site and find it very helpful already, it is a great site and im very happy that I found it. I just did a search for wiring diagram and it appears you are the answer man for this and many many other question as well. I need a complete wiring diagram for my 91 Spider to check to see if #1. I repaired it properly as many of the wire were melted when I purchased the car. #2. Why im not getting any charge. #3. Why the cooling fan on the radiator comes on and stays on when ever the car is running.

Also, would you know if I can use higher amp alternator from another type of alfa for my Spider?

Thanks much for your time, I will gladly continue to donate when ever possible.

Regards,
Terry
