I am trying to track down a wiring diagram for a D reg 2.0 petrol spyder convertible, I think it is a 1966 but not sure... Could anybody help please.

I'm assuming your number plate looks something like "xxx xxxD" so yes, you do have a 1966 car. However, unless someone has fitted a later engine, this car should be fitted with a 1570cc engine. Your chassis number should begin with 10503.

Take a look at the top of this thread and you'll find the diagram you need (possibly in colour!) in exchange for a small donation to the AlfaBB. Alternatively, you could call Motorbooks, Pooks, Mercian Manuals, Highwood Alfa etc etc to see if anyone has a workshop manual - but these will be in black and white only.

Do you have any photos to share in the Spider section?

Sorry the information I was given from a friend at work was that it was a "D" reg... It appears to a 2001 2.0 spyder.. I apologise for this but she got a little confused,,, The problem seems to be that it has a short somewhere? when the left indicator is on the interior light flashes..

'D-reg' mayhaps meaning 'Deutscheland', as in Germany, then? (the 2001 certainly indicates that it's really unlikely to be a US car)

It's awful rough when people don't give thier location LOL
