Alfa GTV 2.0l 1999 - Air Conditioning

Hi there,

I have a GTV 2.0l 1999 model and i have a problem with the Air Conditioning!
I hope somebody can help me with or point me in the right direction.

Basically the interior fans, climate control or conditioning won't turn off, even
when they are in the off position and continue at what ever tempreature the
thermostat is set at! I have removed the main 30A fuse from the engine
compartment as it has already flattened one battery and this seems to be the
only temporary solution.

If anyone can help i would be very grateful as the nicer weather is coming!
even if somebody can point me in the direction of an independant garage
(trying to avoid the dealership for now) as i have only had the car a few
months and unaware of any specialists in my area. Plus this is my first
problem with the car!
